SAFETY AND PRIVACY

During the session, clients are encouraged to relax and inform the practitioner, Shannon Burrington, if anything makes them uncomfortable. Clients should feel free to provide feedback during the session. If anything in the session feels uncomfortable, please tell the practitioner immediately.  All clients are assured of confidentiality and personal privacy.

The practitioner reserves the right to refrain from working with a person who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Sexual harassment is not tolerated. If the practitioner’s safety feels compromised, the session is stopped immediately.

APPOINTMENT POLICIES

Each session is no longer than 45 minutes for Reiki and 90 minutes for EFT unless mutually agreed upon by the practitioner and the client.

If a client is late for a session, the practitioner may limit the session to end at the originally scheduled session’s end time in order to accommodate other clients.
(i.e., the session is shortened by the amount of time of client is late).

If the practitioner is late, the session lasts the full scheduled time (if the schedule allows). If the session cannot be completed in a pre-determined time, the treatment rate is
discounted by 50% or rescheduled, as preferred by the client.

CANCELATION

If the client wishes to cancel an appointment, it must be done within 24 hours in advance of the appointment or the client may be charged for the full amount of the session unless the appointment can be filled. The client may cancel by email, or by leaving a phone message or text. Emergency cancellations will not be charged at the practitioner’s discretion. If the practitioner needs to cancel an appointment, it will be done within 24 hours, whenever possible. If the practitioner cannot cancel within 24 hours, the client’s next session is at no charge. The practitioner will make every effort to return calls and messages within 24 hours

FEES

If during the practitioner’s assessment she determines with reasonable certainty that the service will not support the client, the session will end at that time and the client won’t be charged for the appointment.

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made prior to treatment. Cash, Venmo, checks, and credit cards are accepted. Currently, there is no direct billing for insurance.
